I read in the San Jose Mercury News recently that The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is now going to have an online database of clips from the show. Although YouTube had a problem with the company who is running the site, they actually helped the Daily Show clip site go forward with production.
The website is going to have a vast database of clips from the show even from its first season back in 1999. It will include a searchable field by episode number and also by keyword so all of you Jon Stewart fans will now have a place to go to find your favorite clips and jokes. All I can say is, "It's about time." So check it out.

Nuclear Malfunction! You won't believe it.
Readers,
I was watching the news today and heard some very disturbing news. Normally current events don't affect me because i think most of the news on tv is inconsequential. Apparently, members of the US Air Force mistakenly loaded a stealth bomber with 12 unarmed missles. Instead they loaded five bundles of missle with nuvlear warheads. The nuclear weapons sat undetected for about 24 hours before anyone knew that they had been loaded. The bomber fighter plane flew for almost 3 hours before they landed at the assigned destination. the US Air Force members involved were court-marshalled and dishonorable discharged for their negligence.
I don't think that I'm the only that feels we should be significantly more careful with our loading of missles in the future. Feel free to give me your thoughts.

New "Pocket PC" coming for the holidays!
Readers,
A new PC is coming out that brings new meaning to the term, "laptop". The Eee PC by Asus is the latest technology to make headlines. This extremely small, lightweight version of what we know as a "notebook" is marketed to those that want to own a PC for the first time. Although, PC experts find that the Eee PC has most of the capabilities that they desire in a computer, the extremely affordable price of this computer is what makes it different.
The Eee PC is running a version of Intel’s 910 mobile chipset, it uses a 900MHz Intel Dothan based Pentium M CPU, it has 512MB of DDR2 memory, full 802.11g wireless capability, and a flash-based hard drive. There will be at least two different models of the Eee PC, with the $199 version using a 4GB flash hard drive and the $299 version using a 8GB drive.
The Eee PC is perfect for the student or professional who wants to constantly be checking emails, writing short papers, or using a compact and internet ready web browser. It comes with a built-in microphone and webcam, but has a smaller, less capable picture display.
All in all, this hot new PC is a bargain for many because of its affordability and convenient size. If you want a cheap computer that is really small and comperable to the capabilities of most laptops, the Eee PC by Asus is a good idea. Available this fall.
